Project done for Adobe and installed on the facade of their building in San Jose.  The wheels are able to spin and stop in 4 different positions, creating the possibility of 256 combinations.  This encrypted a message which was also filmed and transmitted through webcam.  The public was issued a challenge to solve the encrypted message, and the code was cracked by programmers who developed software that tracked the changes in the rotations of the discs. The message was found to be a reproduction of Thomas Pynchon's The Crying Lot of 49, which was displayed over the course of one year.

Exterior light installation done by George Trenz and Detlef Hartung on the Literaturhaus in Frankfurt.

'Your Black Horizon' was an installation at the 2005 Venice Biennale, on the outlying island of San Lazzaro.  The piece was situated in a windowless pavillion designed by David Adjaye. The changing light colors reflected that of the real spectrum of daylight in Venice, and the real 24 hour cycle was reproduced in 15 minute intervals.

Installation done in the roof of the Portkus building in Frankfurt on the Main River.  The installation is done with twin-lamps arranged in an arc form and projectors in the roof truss.

Composed of thousands of translucent, white plastic squares that move in the wind, the artwork is intended to suggest that the building has been enveloped by a digitized cloud.

I categorize these photos I took around Columbia University as a way to explore the logic behind the ground which is subtlely transformed by the human or natural forces.
